"Cooperation of NGOs, educational institutions, libraries and educational authorities in the field of preventing xenophobia among youth", Moscow (Russia), 8 November 2011, 14-00 – 17-00 in Conference Hall (International Memorial House/Karetni Ryad 5/10)

Dear Friends,
We invite you to attend an international round table, which will take place at Conference Hall of International Memorial House in Moscow (Russia)  on 8 November 2011 at 14-00 till 17-00.
Ths round table is dedicated to the international action «Christal night – never again».

The round table is organised by Youth Human Rights Movement, UNITED for Intercultural Action and Moscow Helsinki Group.

Both Russian and international organisations along with representatives from various libraries, educational institutions, human rights defenders, educational and enlightening programs coordinators are invited to take part in this round table.
There will be also presented such projects as: enlightening activities «Christall night-never again», moving exhibition «Anna Frank: history lessons», art project Respect, Human library and etc.

The main topics on which the round table will focus are:

  • cross sector sucesessful interaction in Russian Federation (what is the way to make them successful and how to multiplicate them);
  • methodology challenges for teachers who work with xenophobic prevention related topics;
  • social problems in nowadays Russia (the results of xenophobic prevention monitoring will be announced);
  • networking possibilities.
  • The results of this round table will be published and distributed. They will be also presented at internationl meetings in Vienna (10-11 November) and international conference in Voronezh (28-30 November).

 

If you would like to be a speaker (present a project) at this round table please contact the organisers no later then 5 November 2011.

The round-table will be held in the framework of the project “Civil Organisations Serving Society: Youth actions against racism, nationalism and xenophobia and for human rights and intercultural dialogue”, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Netherlands) in the scope of the MATRA programme.
